Solihull NHS Stop Smoking Service (0800 6226968)
Solihull NHS Stop Smoking Service offers one-to-one support for smokers to stop smoking at a range of venues across the borough, including drop-in sessions, some GP surgeries and pharmacies.
Solihull’s NHS Stop Smoking Service is made up of Specialist Stop Smoking Advisors who can offer friendly advice and free support to those people who want to go smoke free.
How to quit
There are a number of ways people can go smoke free:
- Stop Smoking Groups take place throughout the borough, both during the day and in the evening in community venues. A Specialist Stop Smoking Cessation Advisor runs the sessions. The groups run for seven weeks for an hour each week. They are relaxed and informal.
- Drop-in sessions take place in the north and south of Solihull, both during the week and on Saturday mornings. Just turn up - no appointment needed.
- One-to-one appointments are available and run in various venues across the borough.
- Home visits are also available in certain circumstances, for example for housebound or pregnant clients.
- A Specialist Pregnancy Stop Smoking Advisor supports women planning for a family, pregnant women and their partners. Home visits can be arranged in certain circumstances.
